Open position: RESEARCH ENGINEER – ANDROID JAVA DEVELOPER<\/p>\n
Description
\nAs a “RESEARCH ENGINEER”, the successful candidate will work on the development of a mobile application aiming at improving the Parkinsonian patients walking kinematics, and helping runners to adopt the approapriate stride technique, as part of a maturation program conducted in EuroMov laboratory and supported by the SATT AxLR.
\nIn particular, she\/he will be in charge of:
\nthe Identification of the compatible hardware (Android platform) with the existing Bluetooth application and sensors, and future developments of the application and use cases
\nthe update of the current libraries to ensure their compatibility with current an future versions of Android
\nthe implementation on the identified hardware target (s) of the updated application Calibration of the different sources of latency and checking of the capabilities of the available Bluetooth protocol to ensure a stable connection in real conditions
\nthe evaluation of the performances of a first prototype
\nthe follow up of prototype tests and subsequent modifications
\nthe general technical coordination of the project, under the authority of the project manager and the integration of developments in compliance with the specifications and the roadmap
\ndrafting patents and documents necessary for intellectual protection (internal or external);
\nwriting the technical documentation related to functional specifications, testing\u2026
\nwriting activity reports (at least monthly) and keeping up to date the laboratory notebook which will be assigned to him
\nthe coordination between the various project partners and suppliers
\nthe security of the project, including the backup of computer data
\nThe employee will be under the supervision of the project leader and the project manager. The workplace is the EuroMov laboratory (700 avenue Pic Saint Loup, Montpellier), located in the north of Montpellier, in a dense nexus of research centres, hospitals and academic institutions (www.euromov.eu).<\/p>\n
Requirements
\nAndroid developer \/ Java application developer with 3 to 5 years of experience:
\nAndroid \/ Java applications development
\nElectronics, connected sensors (Bluetooth)
\nSignal processing, especially Android audio
\nAutonomy
\nEnglish
\nDesired skills:
\nWriting technical documentation
\nKnowledge in big data and cloud infrastructure will be appreciated
\nability to work in a multidisciplinary professional environment<\/p>\n

Conditions
\nThe position is available for a period of 10 months.
\nThe gross annual base salary for this full-time position will be \u20ac 32,000
\nThe position corresponds to the status of Research Engineer (IATS 514)
