{"id":2967,"date":"2017-03-07T17:57:12","date_gmt":"2017-03-07T16:57:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.acaps.asso.fr\/?page_id=2967"},"modified":"2022-08-16T14:30:52","modified_gmt":"2022-08-16T12:30:52","slug":"acaps-history","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.acaps.asso.fr\/en\/acaps-history\/","title":{"rendered":"ACAPS History"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Established in 1984, the ACAPS aims to promote research in the fields of sport, physical activities and more broadly of human movement.<\/li>\n<li>The ACAPS gathers researchers, lecturers, professors, students, engineers, technicians, trainers, practitioners and all the persons interested by these areas<\/li>\n<li>Since 1987, the ACAPS edits the scientific journal <u>Movement and Sport Sciences<\/u> and organizes its biennial international congress with over 440 participants during the fall season.<\/li>\n<li>The ACAPS also regularly develops partnerships with the socio-economic world and learned French or foreign societies interested in the sport sciences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Movement and Sport Sciences<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ACAPS-driven journal <u>Movement and Sport Sciences<\/u> has been firstly established in 1987, by Professor Jacques Van Hoecke. This multidisciplinary journal <strong>publishes fundamental, applied and technological researches on human movement, physical activities and sports.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The publication manager of the journal is currently <a href=\"mailto:didier.delignieres@univ-montp1.fr\"><strong>Nicolas<\/strong><\/a><strong> Benguigui<\/strong> (Caen University, France). Four section editors manage publications in Life and Health Sciences\u00a0(<a href=\"mailto:valerie.bougault@univ-cotedazur.fr\"><strong>Val\u00e9rie Bougault<\/strong><\/a>, university of Nice, and <a href=\"mailto:sidney.grospretre@univ-fcomte.fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Sidney Grospr\u00eatre<\/strong><\/a>, university of Franche-Comt\u00e9), Psychology and Human Sciences (<a href=\"mailto:sandrine.isoard@univ-grenoble-alpes.fr\"><strong>Sandrine Isoard-Gautheur<\/strong><\/a>, University Grenoble Alpes), Neurosciences and Motor Control (<a href=\"mailto:Florent.Lebon@u-bourgogne.fr\"><strong>Florent Lebon<\/strong><\/a>, University of Burgundy France) and Social Sciences (<a href=\"mailto:po.schut@u-pem.fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Pierre-Olaf Schut<\/strong><\/a>, Gustave Eiffel University \u2013 Marne-la-Vall\u00e9e and <a href=\"mailto:Manchester Metropolitan University\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Nicolas Scelles<\/strong><\/a>, Manchester Metropolitan University).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The ACAPS Biennial International Congress<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The ACAPS congress happens during the fall season every two years. The previous cities in which the congress happened were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1985 : Beaune<\/li>\n<li>1987 : Rennes<\/li>\n<li>1989 : Poitiers<\/li>\n<li>1991 : Lille<\/li>\n<li>1993 : Caen<\/li>\n<li>1995 : Pointe \u00e0 Pitre<\/li>\n<li>1997 : Marseille<\/li>\n<li>1999 : Macolin (Switzerland)<\/li>\n<li>2001 : Valence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>2003 : Toulouse<\/li>\n<li>2005 : Paris<\/li>\n<li>2007 : Leuven (Belgium)<\/li>\n<li>2009 : Lyon<\/li>\n<li>2011 : Rennes<\/li>\n<li>2013 : Grenoble<\/li>\n<li>2015\u00a0: Nantes<\/li>\n<li>2017 : Dijon<\/li>\n<li>2019 : Paris<\/li>\n<li>2021 : Montpellier<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Website<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It was created in 1997 by Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier Li (Birmingham University, UK).<\/li>\n<li>Thereafter, Robin Candau and Gr\u00e9gory Ninot (Montpellier University, France) (1997-1999), Guillaume Millet (St Etienne University, France) (2001-2005), Eric Watelain (Valenciennes University, France), (2005-2009), St\u00e9phane Perrey (Montpellier University, France) (2009-2011) and Nicolas Souchon (Paris Ouest University, France) (since 2011) administered the website.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The ACAPS Letter<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A first version of the letter was disseminated in 1996.<\/li>\n<li>In December 2001, on the initiative of Guillaume Millet (Saint-\u00c9tienne University, France), the ACAPS produced regularly its diffusion letter (LLA).
